A song of spiritual awakening. *fr thefull song, pls appoach esthertan(:
I say on Sunday how much I want revival And then on Monday I can't even find my Bible Where's the Power, The power of the cross in my life?
I'm sick of playing the game of religion I'm tired of losing my reason for living Where's the Power, the power of the cross in my life?
I'm not content just to walk through my life givin' in to the lies walkin' in compromises now we cry out as a generation that was lost but now it's found in the Power of the cross
We believe in You We believe in the power of Your Word and its truth We believe in You So we lay down our cause that our cross might be found in You
I'm not satisfied doing it my own way I'm not satisfied to 'do church' and walk away I'm not satisfied There's no love in my life but You
I'm not satisfied living in yesterday's hour I'm not satisfied to have the form but not the Power I'm not satisfied Lord, I am crucified in You
It hit me real hard from the first moment I heard this song till now. How we often disregard the power that Christ has given us through His death and resurrection. How we often cruise along our spiritual journey not knowing God personally. How we often are weaken by our situations and refuse to stand back on our feet and let things go as the way it seems.
For those who are weary and want to do something about your life.May this song speak to your heart and soul, and be an inspiration to find your cross in Jesus.
Look forward to!:

Prayers from the Body:
We want to keep the Missions team in prayers as they go up to Cebu, Philippines to do the work of our Lord. We thank God for their willing hearts and this opportunity to be available. May their hearts be filled with unceasing compassion and joy that will be a blessing to those who are distant from God. All the way brothers and sisters!
Valentine's day has just passed and I believe most of us spent that special day with a special friend or a group of good friends. It is a day of showing love and care to one another. Some of us may still be looking for that special companion to spend valentine's day with or even to spend every moment of their lives with. However, the best place to find love is not in another person but in a book, the Bible. The bible tells of God's great love for us. It is found in John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
The daily bread gave a very interesting version of John 3:16 on valentine's day:
For God so loVed the world That He gAve His onLy BegottEn SoN That whoever Believes In Him Should Not perish But have Eternal life.
God loves us like no one else ever could. He sent His only son, Jesus, to die on the cross for us. He's the best companion we'll ever have.
Look forward to!:
Our first Baptism in 2008! Yes! Calling out to those who are bold enough to take this step of faith (especially if you havent!) to be baptised:) Or even if you have no idea what BAPTISM is all about. To all our Ngee Ann Poly students! Yeap that's you! Yes we know it's your exam period for the next few days. But we are alongside with you! Love need not be in the air.
If I knew it would be the last time That I'd see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise, I would video tape each action and word, so I could play them back day after day.
If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute to stop and say "I love you," instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.
If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day, Well I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let just this one slip away.
For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we always get a second chance to make everything just right.
There will always be another day to say "I love you," And certainly there's another chanceto say our "Anything I can do?"
But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get, I'd like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget.
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight.
So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day,
That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss and you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today, and whisper in their ear, Tell them how much you love them and that you'll always hold them dear
Take time to say "I'm sorry," "Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay." And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today.
For us. and our loved ones.

Do remember East Timor in prayers as they deal with the recent assasination of their President. May God's peace be restored back into this land. We also wanna be a prayer help with our brothers and sisters there as they look to Godfor protection and security. May they have put on the spirit of courage and be a lighthouse standing for Jesus in the midst of the chaos in this nation. We know for sure that God loves them:)
God bless the hearts of those who had volunteered for the CNY celebration @ the Hendersons Seniors' Home this Saturday. May they bring such exceeding joy and hope to those who have not known Jesus. We pray for a good time of building rapport with the seniors and workers there and may they open up their hearts to seek their Creator.
I'm IGNITED(:
18th-20th January 2008 Ignite Conference.
Yeap! That's our Detonate youths:) (click it!) We were encouraged to wear our school uniforms as a form of representation of our schools!
We thank Heart of God church for hosting this event:)
Our conference speaker - Pastor Joakim; with God's challenge to reach out to our friends in school!
And so now, with our ignited faith.
Hear them. And their passion (:
Firstly, i'm really thankful for this opportunity to attend this conference. I've learnt a lot and am really inspired and motivated by the passionate youths all over the world who had put in so muh efforts just to see the souls in their schools being saved. I'm really touched by the testimonies shared during the conference, and seeing the impossible things happen, it really makes me feel so assured that in whatever we do, God is always there to watch over us and hear our prayers. Through this conference, i also felt very encouraged to spread the gospel to the people in my school, and i know that it really doesn't matter if i'm doing this by my own because He's always there with me and by Him, all things are possible(:
With love,
Lydia Tan
If I was to be asked what would be the ONE thing I would be looking forward to in IGNITE’08, that would be - God’s Presence, a part and parcel of what everyone would be looking forward to bask in every conference. It seems so vivid to me what happened on the 19th Jan, at Ignite conference. The moment I stepped into the auditorium, the atmosphere and ambience was great. But most importantly, I see God’s children all hungry and thirsty for a new revival, which I believe was important. Praise and Worship started with songs that really hyped the congregation up and me as well. Ultimately, the important thing during that period is that I could really see with my naked eyes people of different churches, of different backgrounds rising up as one body for a common purpose, and that is to Glorify YAHWEH. The Speaker for the day was Pastor Joakim Lundqvist, the founder of the initiative “New Generation”, was sharing about the topic of “My School – the most important place to me”. During the message he challenged us to reach out to our schools and implanted visions and mission in each and everyone of our hearts. Personally, after hearing what he said, It really challenged me and it made me think and want to do a part for my school, and most importantly, for God. I believe it brought out the theme, “IGNITE” in me when I ignited my passion for Christ. I spur me on to greater heights and in my future endeavors. In conclusion, I believe, that this conference is worthwhile and that it has not only impacted my life, but hundreds, which in turn impacts thousands and to millions. We have to believe that God is our Jehovah Jireh, he is our provider, and that no burden is too heavy for him. All I ever needed – God’s Help. And I am so ever inspired to make a difference in my school for Christ. (: Are you inspired to aspire yet?
With Faith,
Ivin Yeo SI JIE. (:
We belong to Jesus
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine."
Isaiah 43:1b
Sometimes in our trying times, we forgot our citizenship in God's kingdom. We let the overwhelming situations take us on an unpleasant ride, a ride that we dislike yet choose to ride upon. But God have already redeemed us, and extends an awesomeinvitation to ride on His shoulders!
And in trials, I often wonder; 'What is God's intentions towards me? To go through what I am going through now?' I like the way how an author (John Eldredge) puts us that 'we've been told any number of times that God does care, and there are some pretty glowing promises given to us in Scripture along these lines. But on the other hand, we have the days of our lives, and they have a way of casting a rather long shadow over our hearts when it comes to God's intentions toward us in particular.' Don't we often feel that way? If we do, try changing our attitudes today. A citizen of God that never quits nor fears.
Jesus didn't just come to forgive. He came to givelife. Through redemption we are given renewed life, and so we belong to Jesus! You are His.
Look forward to!:

Do remember Ivin, Enoch, Esther and Ivy in prayers as they say goodbye to their lately departed grandmother. We have the hope that she is now in a better place with our Lord and we pray for God's peace, comfort and joy to be with the entire family as they stand together as one. May those in their families who have not come to the saving knowledge of Jesus be reached as well through believing family members.
